This new replacement typewriter ribbon will fit many portable typewriters that have a single pin mounting post with a small drive pin near its base to drive the ribbon. It will fit most portable Smith-Corona, Hermes, Underwood, Royal, Remington, Adler or Sears typewriters. The spool size is 2 inches across and the ribbon measures 1/2 inch in height.
This is a special ribbon with white carbon film on the lower half to act as a correction ribbon. When you make a mistake, all you do is back up one space, set the ribbon to the highest lift position (usually the red dot on the lift selector), then type the same letter over again to WHITE OUT the mistake. Now you are set to type the correct letter over the white out spot. See the photo for more detail of this ribbon. |
