These small plastic adapters are very hard to find. They are specifically designed to fit inside the larger center hole of a Super 8 film reel to covert the reel to fit the smaller size of a Regular 8mm spindle of a Dual 8 projector.
Caution: These adapters do NOT convert your projector machine from Regular 8mm to Super 8. The adapters only convert the REEL from Super 8 to Regular 8mm.

To show both sizes of film, you need a Dual 8 projector. You can also use these adapters to permanently convert a Super 8 reel to a Regular 8mm reel.
These adapters were designed to fit the plastic 50 foot Super 8 reels but they will also work on larger reels if needed as shown in the photos. The reel in the photos does not come with the adapter and is presently for demonstration purposes only. |
