Condition: Used & Operational Size: 6.5 inches tall by 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Musicaire Musicaire was the radios made for, and sold by, Coast to Coast stores in the 1950's and 60's. I found this gem in a near prefect condition with no cracks or chips to the bakelite case and the original knobs and dial glass are still in place.

There are a few white paint spatters here and there which was common in those days as folks forgot to move the radio before painting the kitchen.
This radio has been gone over and tested thoroughly and it works wonderfully. Any parts that needed replacing have been replaced. These tube radios are most nostalgic as one had to wait a few seconds for the tubes to warm up and glow before the radio would play.
This radio has an external hookup in addition to an internal antenna if you care to use it to get those far away stations. However, for normal distances this radio does fine without any external hookup.
I found a copy of the original schematic for the electrical wiring for this radio which is a Model 5015 from 1951. Those papers will come with your radio so you have permanent record for your radio repairman should any problems occur. |
