Circa: 1949 Condition: Used and Operational Size: 5 inches tall by 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Color: Wrinkly Finish Gray/Brown Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Smith Corona This manual typewriter definitely carries the nostalgic look of the late 1940's. It was the Smith Corona design for the Retro era. It has a tab key and margin release keys right on the keyboard which was an important extra feature in those days. This particular typewriter is unique in that it has 42 keys when many typewriters of that model only had 40 keys. This model did not have a #1 key as the lower case 'l' key can be used instead.

Everything is working on this machine and it has been serviced and ready for duty if you're up to typing on a manual typewriter or it would also make a very good yesteryear display. The typewriter also has a touch control adjustment feature just under the top cover.
This unit comes complete with its own original carrying case. This typewriter has a new ribbon on it and ribbons for any of these old manual typewriters can be found in my store here on the Internet under the category of Typewriter Supplies or you can contact me by clicking on the CONTACT US button on any item page.
