This beautiful wall mounted plate clock is a unique piece. It is a real plate and specimen has no cracks or chips that I can find. The back of the plate has a signature which says Johnson Bros - England.
The plate was part of an entire china service originally given as a gift to Sarah Shepard by her husband.

I purchased this plate clock from the Grandaughter of Sarah Shepard. It wasn't operating anymore so I replaced the clock movement with a new unit and it is now working great. It appears to me that the plate clock was custom made for Sarah Shepard. The Grandaughter told me that the family legend on this clock is that it was given to Sarah by the company selling the china service as an incentive and thank you for the purchase. Each letter of the Sarah Shepard name fits perfectly one of the 12 hours around the dial.
