This unit appears to have never been used or used very little. This is a splicing guide for repairing broken Regular 8mm movie film. The instructions read from an older day when cement was used to bind two film strips together (called wet splicing). With today's technology, it looks like this unit can be used for a square cut and then use this jig as a guide to hold the film in place while using press-tape splices.
