Circa: 1970's Condition: Used & Operational Size: 6 inches tall by 16 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Color: Black with White Keyboard and Blue Lower Panel Manufacturer: Sears/Smith Corona This wonderful 1970's ELECTRIC portable typewriter definitely carries the nostalgic look of the 70's with its beautiful glossy BLACK color. It was a very well built machine that has the typing touch of the best machines made in that era. It has all the features anyone could want and everything is working beautifully on this machine.

This particular typewriter has a very clear and good looking type and has a special feature of changeable key buttons and type. There is a CHANGE-A-TYPE storage box under the top lid (as shown in the photos). This particular box has math symbols where by you can slip the math symbol type slug on the typebar in positions #1 or #44 and change the key button cap to match that sympbol. A pretty cool feature.
The machine a new ribbon installed. I sell new ribbons in my store which are located under the category of TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES.
The typewriter has a 12 inch platen on it (wide platen) which means you can put a sheet of paper in sideways which is great for ledger pages, etc. This unit comes complete with its own original 'Trimline' carrying case.
If you are looking for a good yesteryear working typewriter that is a workhorse and ready for hard work, this is the machine for you.
A side note is that the tab bar is hard to locate in the pictures as it is the long bar in between the SET and CLEAR buttons just under the Sears logo. What a great and easy to operate machine this is. |
