VIKING GREEN EPIC LINE FRUIT COMPOTE
STUNNING. If I had to use a single word to describe this piece of Viking Glass, that would have to be it.
This green compote/fruit bowl is from the mid-century Epic line. It has lots of free form movement to it, from the raised, rounded edges to the square base. It stands 6 ¾" high and is 10" at its widest. There are six "arms" lifted up in the air, each has a straight raised column supporting it from the back. The bowl rests on a six sided base. This bowl is very heavy; it weighs 3 lbs. 13 oz.(unpacked weight). Everywhere you look, the light is reflected in this bowl. This bowl is in excellent condition.
This bowl can be used as a compote or fruit bowl. But I can also see it with flowers draped in it too, or perhaps Christmas decorations in it. This would make a great center piece for any festive occasion!
