Beautiful unused Silex Vacuum Coffee Maker. Pyrex bowls. Dark brown/black Bakelite top lid, handles, scalloped trim on bottom bowl, trim on heater, and tray. Includes original cloth cord, filter assembly, and (copy)instructions. The filter is a porcelain disc covered with a flannel cloth held in place with a spring, stem, and hook & chain assembly. The unit appears to have never been used. The original Silex silver paper label is still on the bottom pot, as well as the Pyrex green ink label. The rubber is still pliable and the heater operates. Circa 1930. Note: The cream and sugar that are shown are not included. They are Anchor-Hocking Wexfod pieces, which are sold separately. |
