Days of the week dishtowels
Nice set of days of the week dish towels. Hand hemmed, embroidery work is nice. Worked all in dark blue, have days of the week on them. Seven towels. Clean. I doubt if these were ever used. Set of 7 day hand embroidered dish towels
This is a set of 7 day dish towels. They are not labeled with the days of the week, but do show the daily tasks performed.They are in very good shape. The towel material is heavier than some of these. The embroidered scenes show the lady baking pie, hanging out clothes, going to market, ironing, sewing, sweeping and going to church. Towels are hemmed by hand, work is decent, they are 36 in by 29 in. finished size. They don't appear to have seen much use. We accept paypal, money orders and checks, please allow time to clear. Vintage hand embroidered dresser scarf
This is a lovely hand embroidered dresser scarf with hand crocheted edge.
Approx. 16 by 52 in. This is embroidered with silk thread on dark ecru linen. Edge is ecru. This must be hand washed in cool water with woolite or similar product. This item has not been washed ( doesn't seem to need it ), it still has the Bucilla stamp in the corner. Probably done in the 40's or 50's.Colors are vibrant. crochet work is very good, embroidery is good. There were four similar items in a collection I bought. One had evidently been washed in hot water, colors had run. One was washed properly, it is fine. This was hasn't been washed. We accept paypal, money orders and checks, please allow time to clear. Vintage hand embroidered dresser scarf
This is a lovely vintage hand embroidered dresser scarf with a hand crocheted edging. This is worked on ecru linen with silk type thread. Crocheted edging is ecru. Looks like 40's or 50's type work. This item must be washed in cool water with woolite or other type substance. It is clean now. There were four of this same type of work in a collection of linens that I bought. One had been washed incorrectly and it had run. This item has been washed and is okay. There is an area near one of the flower baskets that has some small spots. These are not easily noticed, but they are there. There are a few other flecks on the scarf. The flower basket embroidery is lovely. This would really show off a nice piece of furniture. Some of the thread ends show on the good side, but they don't seem too much out of place. They blend in. This is approx. 17 by 52.
