Indiana Sandwich Decanter Set produced in 1920
Here is a way to tell the difference between which company produced Sandwich glass.

Sandwich Glass
by Anchor Hocking

*Curvy flower has lines inside the petals
*Swirl has a "V" shaped center, and is wider at the top or outside

Sandwich Glass by
Indiana Glass and Tiara Exclusives

*Less curvy flower has plain petals
*Swirl is somewhat "M" shaped, wider at the bottom or inside

This is a very distinctly crafted decanter set decorated with curvy flowers that have lines inside the petals and the swirls have a "V" shaped center that is wide at the top. This set was produced by the Anchor Hocking Glass Company in the 1920's

All pieces have 2 side seams that are still slightly rough and the set is very sturdy being free from scratches, chips, or cracks. The decanter has a small irregular shaped pontil and air bubbles on the bottom.

The stemware measures 4 inches tall, 2 ¼ inches wide at the opening, and 2 inches deep. The decanter is 10 inches tall from bottom to top of stopper and 17 inches around the base. The stopper is solid and fully ground fitting well within the jar.

1542
Waterford or Waffle Pattern Crystal Sherbet Set The Waterford or Waffle pattern was produced in great quantities by The Hocking Glass Company.

It was reasonably priced, durable, and pretty. The variety of useful pieces produced made this a favorite for use in churches and bazaars. Since many of these institutions are now replacing their dishes, large quantities of Waterford can sometimes be found.

Collectors need to be aware that the waffle shaped edges were easily damaged, so check your pieces carefully or know the dealers reputation before buying this pattern through the mail.

It was mainly produced in Crystal and pink and during the years of 1938-1944.
