Haitian Hand Carved Wood Vase
This is a 15 year old compote or greenery pot directly from Haiti. It was purchased from the artist himself.
The wood has maintained the original shape well and is in rather good condition. The inside has what appears to be some bleaching from a cleaning solution. It holds fluids without any leaks.
The outside pattern is in good condition and uniquely crafted with a carved design.
The piece is 8 ½ inches tall, and 10 inches across the opening, and 5 inches deep. There is no signature, but is one of the better lasting pieces of Haitian wood art that I have seen for awhile.
