Southern Potteries Cheerio Plate This plate pattern is called "Cheerio" and is painted on the Skyline shape with a yellow sponged background. The flowers are a brown and light yellowish green with a dark violet center. The stems are brown and have solid green leaves.

Southern Potteries dinnerware is fun and folk art at its best. It was produced in bright colors and painted by freehand. The ladies that painted these lovely dishes were not professional artists. Most pieces were painted by 3 or 4 ladies each painting just the leaves, buds, flower petals, etc.
