Vintage Holy Bible in Special Cedar Case Box/Radio Machine Union
This is a very unique piece, the cedar box is made to fit the Bible, the front of the box has "The Holy Bible" embossed in black. I believe this piece to have been presented as a memorial piece to the family of a deceased union member. The inside of the case has a large full color picture of Christ and a plaque that says "Presented by International Union of Electrical Radio & Machine Workers Local No 812 AFl-CIO" and there is a paper insert that has "To Comfort You" along with the 23rd Psalm.
The bible is copyrighted 1974, it is a Prince of Peace Edition and is in excellent never used condition, no inscriptions. The bible is 8" by 5 1/2", the cedar box is 8 3/4" by 6 1/4" by 2 3/4" and has a latch so it can be locked. It is marked on the back with a black backstamp but I can't make out what it says.
Overall this is in excellent condition, comes from a smoke free home and would be a terrific addition to your library or collection!
