Lilien Porzellan Austria Blue Cream Sugar
Lilien Porzellan Austria Blue Cream and Sugar. The trade-mark Lilien Porzellan Austria was established in 1958 in Wilhelmsburg, inspired by the nearby convent Lilienfeld. At that time the demand for quality porcelain began to grow, which was the fact quickly perceived by the then management of Österreichische Sanitär-, Keramik- und Porzellan-Industrie AG. They began to produce top quality porcelain for hotels and households. In the late sixties the company ended the production of tableware and started to concentrate only on professional hotel porcelain. In 1967 they became a part of the concern called Keramik Holding Laufen. In 1997 Lilienporzellan was incorporated in the Swiss group Porzellan Langenthal Gruppe. The production of porcelain was transferred to the Czech republic, concretely to the company Hotelovy porcelan KV a.s. which belonged to Langenthal Gruppe, too. However, four years later the PLG group broke up and the companies filed for bankruptcy. In 2002 the company Hotelovy porcelan Karlovy Vary was purchased by the Czech firm Polyflex which took over the historical name G. Benedikt. This set has an estimated age of the 1960's, it is a light blue with a dark blue stripe around the edge. The creamer is 4 3/4 inches tall, the sugar is 3 1/8 inches tall, both pieces are in excellent condition. Perfect addition to your collection or for everyday use!
