Vintage Italy Hand Painted Ceramic Medieval Castle Plaque LHA Vintage Italy Hand Painted Ceramic Medieval Village Plaque Signed LHA. This is a very nice piece, I have had it for many years and tried to research the artist without any luck. It depicts a peasants in Medieval times gathering wood, in the background is a castle. It is hand painted, colors convey a wintertime or stormy weather, the pheasants have rosy cheeks and appear to be sad, hard working fellows.

It is signed LHA in the lower left corner, front has a glazed finish, back is unglazed, has holes along the top for a cord to be inserted so it can be hung. It is extremely heavy, about five pounds and is almost 12 inches by 12 inches, almost an inch thick at the thickest part.
