Rare Franciscan El Patio Handled Casserole or Bean Bowl in a Glossy Rose, made from 1934 to 1950. El Patio was the first dinnerware produced by Gladding McBean and the first to carry the name Franciscan. Started in 1934, its simple lines and rich colors made it the anchor of the Franciscan line for over 20 years. It's classic beauty is still in demand today. This bowl has the stick style handle, it is about 5 inches across not including the handle, with the handle it is about 9 inches across by about 1 3/4 inches deep. It is marked with the round Franciscan mark on the bottom and is in good condition, no chips and no signs of use, color is not totally even but this is the way it came from the factory. It would be a terrific addition to your collection!
