Vintage Fenton Milk Glass Old Fashioned Shoe Buttons Bows. Fenton Glass was established in 1905 by Frank and John Fenton in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, their earliest pieces were hand painted on blanks from other glass companies. Unable to get the quantity of glass they needed, they decided to make their own glass and 1907 the opened their own glass factory in Williamstown, West Virginia. For 102 years, pieces made prior to 1973 are not marked with the Fenton Logo. Fenton has hand crafted some of our loveliest American collectible art glass and continues to be a family run business.
This shoe is an earlier unmarked piece. This is a lovely piece in the shape of an old fashioned shoe, it has a Buttons and Bows pattern, is about 6 inches long by about 2 1/4 inches tall. It is in excellent condition, no chips, does have one spot of mold roughness on the inside edge, it would be a lovely addition to your collection! |
