Vintage Blue Ridge Pottery Cherry Bounce Vegetable or Serving Bowl. Blue Ridge Pottery was made from the early 1940's until 1957 at which time they ceased production.
This bowl is rather hard to find, pieces in this pattern are rather scarce. It has the colonial shaped edge and a brightly colored pattern of cherries hanging on the branch. It is 9 1/4 inches across and 2 1/4 inches deep, it is marked on the back with the Blue Ridge backstamp and also has some hand written numbers on it, under the glaze. Perhaps they are a pattern number or this was originally a sample piece, it was common for Blue Ridge to mark sample pieces in this manner.
It is in excellent condition, no chips, no crazing and no signs of use. It would be an excellent addition to your collection!
