Circa: 1940 to 1950 Condition: Used Color: Silver Manufacturer: Wear Ever
Vintage Aluminum Colander Strainer or Sieve with Wooden Pestle. This piece was originally patented by John H Wilson in 1924 and was called a fruit or vegetable strainer. This colander is an estimated age of 1940 to 1950.
This colander is 9 1/2 inches tall when the strainer is resting on stand, the strainer without the stand is 8 1/4 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches across the top, comes with the original 10 1/2 inches wood pestle. Although it is not marked as to the maker it is the same style and quality as all previous Wear Ever colanders we have had and was no doubt an unmarked Wear Ever piece.
This set is in excellent condition, no dents to the metal parts. A great addition to your collection and kitchen, perfect for making jelly or fruit and vegetable straining!
