Mechanical Park Avenue Poodle -- Box Only!!
This is the box only for the toy called a Mechanical Park Avenue Poodle, which was manufactured by Alps, which is a trademark item from Japan.
The lid has the company logo in the lower right corner. There is also another company logo on the side panel that I would call the front. This one reads: VIA in a circle with the words "Registered Trademark---Rock Valley Toys", which is in a circle around the VIA letters.
The box measures approximately 8" x 8.5" x 3.75". It is in very nice condition for its age, which I'm guessing to be 1940-1960s. There is some fading of the green on the top, but other than that, the colors are pretty vibrant for its age. There is some edge wear to the lid, but not too bad. No toy however! The bottom is in good shape as well, with one area on the bottom which looks like maybe a piece of tape had been removed and pulled some of the cardboard off with the tape.
