Vintage Quilt -- Made by Dunkard Brethern Woman
This is a quilt pattern that I can't name for you. In my area we have a lot of Dunkard Brethern folks, and this belonged to and was made by one. She is around 95 years old now and this came from her estate sale. I'm guessing the age to 1930-1940s, maybe even a bit older. The entire quilt was done by machine of that era. Some discoloration/fading due to age. There was also a 'protective' piece of fabric that had been added to the top where you would pull it up over your shoulders close to your head, and that I had to remove as it was not in good shape, but it did protect the area it covered! The backing fabric is also cotton and is a very light shade of pink. There are a couple of areas where some darker areas of pink show/kind of like bleeding in the wash near the corners. Don't know if it was originally darker or if bleeding in the wash did happen, but its not on the front. Overall condition of this quilt is good to very good, it just isn't mint, it was used! Not a cutter by any means.
It measures about 52.5" wide with 8" border on each side for total width of 74.5".
It measures about 73" long with 8" border at top and bottom for total length of 89".
