Real photo postcard of Little Girl on porch with Doll This is a real photo postcard of a little girl named Beulah with her doll on the porch. This is handwritten in pencil on the back, but never postmarked. Her name is Beulah, that part is clear, but her last name, I can only make out that it starts with "S". She was from Sigourney, Iowa, and this was to a Mr. and Mrs. James Coombs at Allerton, Iowa. The James Coombs part has been erased, but it is visible with aid of a magnifier. James Coombs died in 1910 and I'm guessing this to be circa late 1800s-1910.

It is dated "Jan the 1st of 1911, 2703 E. 1st St., Witchita, Kansas from love a Jake + Otto Coombs" and addressed to "Mrs. Sally Miller, Unionville, MO". Married couple cabinet card This is a group of two cabinet cards, one with a married couple and the other perhaps the best man. The men both seem to be sitting on the same chair. They are both faded some and I suspect they are from the early 1900s. They came with others that I currently have for sale. There are no markings to help with identification.

Earl Osborn, Sunday School Superintendent This is a real photograph card of a church, where-a-bouts unknown, but a man by the name of Earl Osburn signed it on the front with "S.S. Supt." and I am assuming this stands for Sunday School Superintendent. There are 2 vintage cars also in the picture. This says "A Joyous Christmas" and there is a graphic of The Wise Men.

A little girl and all her toys This photograph is not mounted nor does it have any identifying marks.

You just can't get much cuter than this...playing with all your toys at once...her horse has a teddy bear rider which appears to be pulling the wagon she's sitting in and it appears she may be holding her baby doll...and it must be chilly out the way she is dressed.

The photo is approximately 2.25" x 3.25"

Bessie aged 10 1/2 years This is a photographic image of Bessie according to the handwritten note on the back. It was taken at the Thiels Photography Studio in Hibbing, Minnesota. The note is dated Nov 2, 1906. It reads as follows:

Dear friend Lola,
I received your letter and pictures. I thought they were very good. You are like me you look lots older then the other girls, but its your health. I am not so well as I was all summer. My mother has to go to the hospital at Kansas City and have a cancer removed from her face. I wish I could go down there but it would be impossible for me to leave home and go so far. She has been up to Powersville for 2 months. Just went home. We are all well. Write soon. This is our second girl Bessie aged 10 1/2 years, I'll send you Dolly's and 2 of her friends soon. Mrs. Pet write soon.

Click for more detail...

Indiana Board of Pharmacy Certificate 1909 This is a vintage certificate which belonged to Glenn F. Lyon of West Fayette, Indiana. The certificate number is 779 and certifies that Glenn F. Lyon is duly registered and entitled to act as an Assistant Registered 1909 Pharmacist. It is actually dated the 10th day of July 1907.

The condition is a bit wrinkled with a tear in the lower right corner and more damage to the upper left corner. This was in a rolled condition for quite some time it appears.

This would look nice matted and framed, even with 100 years of wear and tear!!

Aunt Mary Watson of Tuscola, Illinois This is a nice photo of Aunt Mary Watson of Tuscola, Illinois, photographed by the Boyce Studio at 14 Park Street Cor Sale. The writing on the back identifies this as her and another note that "Pa gave to me 1928". Please look over the other photos by Boyce as there is a family grouping by the same company with no indication of who it is, but I believe that is is Aunt Mary Watson and her husband and daughter.

Click for more detail...

June 1863 Cabinet card of young man This is an unidentified young man photographed by H. Chapman of Chardon Square, Ohio. The date is handwritten on the back, no name however. History on Chardon Square, Ohio, shows that the entire town was destroyed by fire in 1868. I couldn't find any history on the "First Class Photographic Car", so I don't know if these were taken on train cars, but that's my guess.
