This is a boxed glass fruit knife from 1939 era. It is engraved as follows: Treasure Island -- 1939 -- Edith Jacobsen.

| The knife measures about 9" long and has a flower on the handle -- I think its a sunflower -- and there are a few 'chips' along the blade edge -- rough edge as usually found if used. There is also another mark on the end of the blade where it joins with the handle -- Pat.D.112059 -- It looks like that anyhow -- hard to read it. Very nice piece to add to a collection or if you are related to Edith Jacobsen to return to the family! |
