This is a Delegate ribbon, representing Dallas County, from the 1891 Senatorial Convention held in Perry, Iowa, on July 8, 1891. It is marked on the bottom 'Compliments of A.E. Willis, Druggist'. Overall this is a very nice piece, but someone did use pencil on the backside of it, which has obviously been there for some time. The ribbon color is an off-white which has now aged more and it looks to me like the ink of the lettering was either blue or purple originally. |
