This is a memorial card made by H.F. Wendell of Leipsic, Ohio. The family is that of James Coombs and Amanda Coombs. This couple was from the Seymour, Iowa area (Wayne County). James is born 27 Mar 1834 and died 1 Feb 1910. Amanda is born 1 Feb 1844 and died 14 mar 1893.

The picture you will see has been lightened so that you can read it. It is actually very black in color with nice gold trim. I also have a copy of a family search I did on James which I will include for you.
Many of the pictures I have on my site seem to stem from this family. |
