Manufacturer: Thiels of Hibbing, Minnesota This is a photographic image of Bessie according to the handwritten note on the back. It was taken at the Thiels Photography Studio in Hibbing, Minnesota. The note is dated Nov 2, 1906. It reads as follows:
Dear friend Lola, I received your letter and pictures. I thought they were very good. You are like me you look lots older then the other girls, but its your health. I am not so well as I was all summer. My mother has to go to the hospital at Kansas City and have a cancer removed from her face. I wish I could go down there but it would be impossible for me to leave home and go so far. She has been up to Powersville for 2 months. Just went home. We are all well. Write soon. This is our second girl Bessie aged 10 1/2 years, I'll send you Dolly's and 2 of her friends soon. Mrs. Pet write soon.
