The Glenn L. Martin Company Badge, Baltimore
The Glenn L. Martin Company of Baltimore was the prime manufacturer of the Viking missile. This missile was built from 1949 through 1957. During that time 14 Vikings were built and flown to test different features and carry larger instrument payloads. No two Vikings were alike. This badge measures 2 inches in diameter and was an ID for the Glen L. Martin Co of Baltimore. Very interesting find. There is quite an interesting story online about the Glen L. Martin Co. and about the many things he developed, along with the wind tunnel/
