This "Made in Japan" Moriage Vase is very interesting. I have yet to figure out just what the design represents. I do see the face of a Japanese man and possibly flowers and two highly raised clouds, or an explosion, coming out of stacks of something!
The vase is made of pottery and is marked, on the bottom, Made in Japan. The background color is cream and the designs are in greens, sienna, tan, and black and white - for the most part.
The vase stands six and one-quarter inches tall and is approximately three inches in diameter, at its widest part.
This vase is most interesting. There are no cracks, chips - but the bottom does show signs of wear - indicating that it is quite vintage.
