Teapot & Sugar Bowl - Swan on a Lake - 1930s
Black mark. This mark indicates that Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. made these two pieces during 1920-30s. The company sold products from their own kiln until the mid-1940s when they closed. They are hand painted but not marked so. The way to tell that it is not a transfer, the swan on the lake would be exact copies - these are not if closely examination. No lid for teapot and priced accordingly measurements: Height: both 4 inches to top of sugar bowl's finial and teapot's spout.
Circa: 1920s-30s
