Plates Salad Set of 7 Noritake Vintage Milford Floral!! Plates Salad Set of 7 Noritake Vintage Milford Floral Motifs; here is a set of seven Noritake Salad Plates found in the pattern "Milford". The beautiful floral motifs on these plates are so exquisite. This set of vintage salad plates are fine china made by Noritake of Japan. This lovely vintage collection of Noritake China is now on SALE for a short time for $40.00.

Each of these plates are in excellent condition and though when purchased my thought was to use this collection of plates in a composition for china cabinet. This pattern of Milford, Noritake is so charming with the crème edge to the plate that acts as a background for the delicate floral pattern of pink and yellow roses; the motifs accented with simple gold tone trim ring setting off the design of this china. So beautiful I think I would add this set of salad plates to my china collection. Again collecting different china patterns that patterns are in harmony with each other is a great way to get an "everyday" collection of china that you use daily.
The salad plates measure 7 ½ inches in diameter, again they are in excellent condition and marked "Noritake", "Japan", "Milford" and "89486", as shown in the pictures below.

China Buffalo Set 54 Pieces French Blue French Transfer China Set 54 Pieces Blue French Transfer Ware A French Rose; in a recent estate sale we were able to purchase this entire collection of this exquisite China, Blue Transfer Ware. We are proud to offer our customers a collection of this size, so many pieces we have tried to show pictures of the different pieces of this set, however we have so many pictures, too many to post, but will be happy to send additional pictures to a personal e-mail, and answer any questions you might have.

The entire set selling for $225.00 that equals to $3.17 for each item including the serving pieces buying this set individually would cost twice as much and finding the pieces would be even so difficult.

Measurements and Quantities are as follow below; (1) Covered Dish; 11 ½ inches long, 7 ¼ inches wide, and 7 ¼ inches high w/ lid. (1) Gravy Bowl; 8 inches long, 3 ¾ inches wide and 4 inches high. (4) Saucers; 5 ¾ inches in diameter. (5) Cups; 2 5/8 inches high, 3 ¾ inches in diameter, the base is 1 ¾ inches. (11) Salad Plates; 7 3/8 inches in diameter. (10) Bread and Butter Plates; 6 1/8 inches in diameter. (6) Luncheon Plates; (8) ¼ inches in diameter; (4) Soup Bowls; 7 ¾ inches in diameter, 1 ½ inches high, base is 4 inches in diameter; (8) Berry Bowls; 5 1/8 inches in diameter, 1 inch high, the base is 2 ¾ inches in diameter; and (4) Dinner Plates; 9 ¼ inches in diameter.

Here is a total of 54 pieces of vintage transfer ware all from France, beautiful. There is some aging to a few of these pieces, some of the dishes have some browning to them however there is little "crazing" if any to these pieces. The only chip we found was on the inside cover of the "covered dish", and you may zoom in on this picture, we are going to double check for chips as this collection get packed away. Other than what we noted we see the collection in wonderful condition. All bear the trademark as shown in the pictures, marked "A France Rose", "Buffalo Pottery", and "Semi-Vitreous". We have not done any research on this manufacturer. Shipping Charges to be determined at check out, depending on where it ships, we will always find the most economical way to ship.

Think of painting a breakfast room an beautiful shade of a "grey blue" and place the entire collection on the walls in different compositions, maybe saving a few of the plates to be added along with the covered dish and gravy bowl to a welsh dresser.

Vintage China Mayonnaise Bowl & Saucer Bridgwood Large Vintage China Mayonnaise Bowl & Saucer Bridgwood Large; here is a wonderful piece of fine china by "Bridgwood & Sons"; English with a tradition that goes back to 1879, closing their shop in the 1990’s their china is now so collectible.

So superb is this vintage set of china with transfer ware of delicate floral motifs of deep corals and delicate shades of teal, found on a pink and yellow background with a swirl relief found both in the pattern of both the saucer and the bowl, this set is truly magnificent design. This set is quite large much larger than a "soup bowl" and smaller than a serving bowl.

This magnificent "Mayonnaise Bowl" measures as follows; the bowl measures 5 ¾ inches in diameter, stands 4 ¼ inches high and the base of the bowl is 2 ¾ inches in diameter. The "Saucer" that the bowl sits on measures 8 ¾ inches in diameter.

The bowl is marked well with the following: "Bridgwood China", "Richmond", with the numbers in gold tone "2Y88" and in red "29881X". Both pieces are in excellent condition without any chips or nicks to either piece.

"Mayonnaise Bowls" are rare to come by, as they were considered "extra" pieces of china setting that were not always purchased, we have included some brief history on Bridgwood China Company, if you are a collector of vintage china, this piece would certainly add to your collection as a rare fine.

History: Sampson Bridgwood & Son, Ltd., Anchor Pottery, Longton, Stafforshire, established in 1805. Manufactured fine porcelains prior to 1887 when earthenwares were introduced. At that period the partners were Martha Napier, wife of George Webster Napier of Aldersley Edge, and Mary Walker, wife of Reverend James Harold Walker of Foxearth.

As from January 1, 1879, Martha Napier retired, leaving Mary Walker to carry on the business of Sampson Bridgwood & Son. Trade advertisements of the 1880's up to 1886 list 'china of the finest quality' in tea, breakfast and dessert services, trinket and dejeuner sets, plaques and wares, designed in most cases by H.J. Kane. From 1887 mention of porcelain was not included in Victorian advertisements, which concentrated on the earthenwares. Porcelains seldom bear a mark except for the rarely-found impressed mark BRIDGWOOD & SON which can occur on porcelains.

China Plates Salad Vintage Meito Japan Square China Plates Salad Vintage Meito Japan Square; I found this pair of salad plates at a recent estate sale and fell in love with them, so beautiful and traditional in the pattern. I love placing plates on the wall mixed with other wall decor, these two salad plates so delicate in design can be placed in so many areas that regular pictures would not fit. Fine china plates, especially "hand painted" offer so much in dimension to a composition for your wall décor.

The plates are salad or luncheon measuring 7 7/8 inches square, they are marked "Meito China", "Hand Painted". The colors are so rich in tradition with vibrant burgundies, pinks, greens, laid out in a floral pattern found on a crème background of fine china allowing the color and pattern take center stage.

Platter - Wedgwood - Oval - Large – White – Vintage Here is wonderful large Wedgwood Platter, simple in design allowing it to flow with any China Pattern you may currently have. Wedgewood China such a well known company of fine china, always collectible and easy to find vintage patterns; this wonderful pattern simplistic in design with the traditional fluted relief found on the rim of this exquisite platter.

This Large Oval Wedgwood Platter measures; 14 inches long and 10 ¾ inches wide, the platter is marked "Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston", "Made in England", "E.D.M.E" "USA DES", "Pat 61298". Embossed into the back is "13267". This Wedgwood Platter has a few marks along the edge; however it is in excellent condition with no "crazing" nicks or chips.

A collection of white china makes such a statement in a wall composition, in a china cabinet or in décor over your kitchen cabinet. Created in an off white one might want to add colorful patterns of china mixed with the solid white to frame the china of pattern.

Sugar and Creamer – “Imperial” - China –Rose Motifs Here is a wonderful sugar and creamer made by Imperial and marked Germany, a fine manufacturer of chin. Designed in motifs of red and yellow rose both are in such wonderful condition, no chips or nicks, a prize for the collector of fine china and one who loves to serve tea.

This striking creamer and sugar was purchased through an estate sale. This creamer and sugar set measures as follows; Creamer, 3 ½ inches the creamer itself, or from spout to handle edge it measures 5 inches wide, the height of the creamer is 3 ¾ inches high. The sugar measures; 5¾ inches wide the bowl itself or from handle to handle 6 ¾ inches wide the height of the sugar is 4 ¾ inches.

This set would look so charming on an open console, or a buffet, or add this lovely set to your collection of Creamer’s and Sugars. Salt & Pepper Shakers – Porcelain - Floral Design Upon my last estate sale I found these lovely miniature porcelain salt and pepper shakers. I think the original owner use them strictly as pepper shakers and must have used "salt cellars" for their salt at the table. So dainty and unique these hand painted porcelain salt and pepper shakers would be beautiful added to any table setting.

These delightful miniature salt and pepper shakers measures as follows; 2 ½ inches high, the top is 1 1/8 inches in diameter and the base is 1 ¼ inches in diameter and the center is 2 ¼ inches in diameter. Please note some slight crazing to this set of vintage salt and pepper shakers.

For the collector of salt and pepper shakers this vintage set would be a wonderful add to their collection. The picturesque florals remind me of Hollyhock or a Fox Glove flowers.

Gravy Bowl Boat with Tray Iron Stone English White Gravy Bowl Boat with Tray Iron Stone English White; I so love collecting English Iron Stone, so wonderful and rich are the pieces and this gorgeous vintage ironstone Gravy Bowl with the matching Tray is certainly a collector’s item and would be an attractive addition to any collection.

The Gravy Bowl measures as follows; 6 5/8 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and 3 ¾ inches high over all; the inside measures 3 ¾ inches long and 1 1/8 inches wide; the base of the gravy boat measures 3 5/8 inches long and 2 inches wide. The Tray to the Gravy Bowl measures 7 inches long and 3 7/8 inches wide and stands ¾ inches high from the table. Please examine the pictures as this is truly a vintage and certainly a vintage piece with a small chip on the tray and there are some pits to the Gravy Boat as well showing its age. Both pieces are marked with the numbers 7994; one is mark is clearer than the other however the marks can be seen on both the Gravy Bowl and the Tray.

Though one would traditional place this Gravy Bowl in a China Cabinet, I would add this to a collection of all "white" vintage china, porcelain, and additional white stoneware and place the collection in an English Welsh Dresser. Or place this piece in a powder bath filled with small white scented soaps. Another idea is to use this Gravy Boat as a vase, creating a fresh small nosegay of petite white miniature roses. White always gives a sense of elegance and "clean", so neutral this delightful vintage Gravy Boat could be used in many locations, so beautiful with the raised embossed floral pattern a true beauty.

Bowls – Custard/ Dessert – “Royal Victoria” – Set of 7 China is certainly one of my weaknesses, as I love to entertain, using fine china. Here is a set of seven custard / dessert bowls English, made by "Royal Victoria", Fine Bone China. This set of dessert bowls so represents "simple elegance" with their uncomplicated design, sophisticated in the simple design made of fine white bone china, accented with a brilliant silver tone ring around the base and the rim. Just in time for the holidays and your family dinners, this wonderful set of vintage Dessert Bowls would go with any china pattern.

These bowls measure; 3 inches high the top is 3 7/8 inches in diameter and the base is 2 ¼ inches in diameter. All seven bowls are found in excellent condition showing little wear and no "nick" or "chips" found; marked as shown in the pictures below "Royal Victoria", "Fine Bone China", and "England.

When entertaining I love to mix china giving each dinner guest their own pattern of china, or mixing plates of one pattern with another. Platter - Large –Australia –Petite Rose Motif – Vintage We are happy to offer this Large Platter to our Tias Customers, this stunning Platter found with the wonderful motifs of petite roses transfer ware ever so delicate on this Large Platter. This Platter is so gorgeous with the rich relief design that has been embossed into the handles and edges of this platter.

This Large Platter measures 15 ¾ inches long, 11 inches wide and the height at the handles is 2 inches. This elegant platter is found in excellent condition marked as shown in the pictures below; "Elsa", "Austala".

This large platter would be so lovely hung in a girl’s room placing a wall shelf below the platter and placing a wonderful collection of pink tea cups on the shelf or small dolls dressed in pink. One might want to hang this platter on a wall in your dining room this platter would so "bounce" placed on a wall painted in a moss green.

Do not use the "standard" wire plate hangers when hanging plates and fine china, the wire hardware so takes away from the beauty of what is being hung. You will find self-adhesives picture hangers at your local hardware store, there is also a self-adhesives disk made in England just for the purpose of hanging plates and china, I use the latter.

Cake Plate / Platter–Crème & Gold Tone–Initialed L.E. In acquiring an estate, we were able to purchase quite a collection of fine china; in their collection are some pieces marked Limoges, Bavaria, and other fine manufacturers of china; all pieces from this estate the china was made for the owner having their initials painted on the back of the piece or here having their initials painted in the center of this beautiful "Cake Plate".

This exquisite vintage cake plate measures overall 11/18 inches in diameter. The plate is found in mint condition, and marked on the back "Bavaria" with the owners initials found painted on the back, "E.S.M.".

So exquisite is this wonderful vintage piece of fine china, the handles and rim accented by having gold tone accent falling into a crème coming to the center where the crème fades into the white center to frame the original’s owner initials "L.E." painted in gold tones; this plate is truly exquisite.

If your initials are "L.E." this vintage plate from the early 1900’s would be perfect as a center piece on your dining room table, or use a plate stand and display this wonderful "Cake Plate" in your china cabinet is would be a wonderful accent to your other china and crystal being painted in neutral.
