Demitasse Set–Royal Princess–Bavaria-6 Cups & Saucers At a recent auction, I was lucky enough to have the winning bid on this excellent demitasse set complete with six cups and saucers, and the matching sugar and creamer. This demitasse set so excellent found in a brilliant white bone china accented so richly in gold would flow with any china pattern one might have.

Made by PEM, Royal Princess of Bavaria Germany this set measures as follows; the saucer is 4 ¾ inches in diameter, the cup is 2 3/8 inches in diameter and stands 2 3/8 inches high. The sugar is 3 5/8 inches high 4 3/8 inches wide including the handle; the creamer measures 2 ¾ inches high and from spout to edges is 3 5/8 inches wide. All the pieces are in excellent condition.

So rich is this design, please note the swirled fluting found on the saucer and the diamond motif banding found around the edge of the cup, the brilliant white of this china made it difficult to capture these traditional accents.

What a wonderful display this would make inside a china cabinet or show the set off centered on top of silver chest in your dining room. This vintage demitasse set from Germany would make a wonderful gift and so affordable at just $55.00. If you are fond of "Tea Sets" we have an antique Nippon circa 1910 for sale to view this item please do a search in our store for item CH98460094.<p>

Platter – Large –Noritake -“Christmas Ball” Vintage-Cir I found this large platter by Noritake quite by accident in my personal collection. I have had several pieces of this Noritake pattern selling each piece as quick as we can get them. This long lasting pattern by Noritake, designed during the era of Art Nouveau, this classic pattern features a rich relief heavy gilded gold banding on a crème yellow background found on a brilliant white china, this pattern by Noritake is most sought after and highly collectible.

If you are fond of this pattern we have for sale a set of five Nippon Salad Plates that is so similar to this pattern; to view these plates please do a search in our store for item number CH58710090.

This extra large platter measures as follows; 16 inches long, 12 inches wide and stands 1 ¾ inches high, found in excellent condition without any chips or nicks this vintage extra large platter is magnificent.

If you are a collector of vintage fine Bone China by Noritake, this wonderful platter would certainly become a rare fine among your collection. Saucers – Two–Limoges –Theodore Haviland– Floral I found these two saucers in with some other china I had purchased, only two saucers both Limoges by Theodore Haviland and the floral design was so beautiful, I wanted to list them, knowing this pattern is quite collectable.

The two saucers measure 5 ½ inches in diameter both marked "Limoges", "Theodore Haviland". Both in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks, however there is a "pit" mark found on one of the saucers and you will see it in one of the close up pictures below.

Limoges china is so collectable, and in high demand, not sure if we should list these two saucers I thought how adorable they would be used as a "soap dish" holding a large bar of French scented bath soap, or as a dish to a small planter holding a pink African violet.

Or hang these two plates above two pictures of florals especially if the pictures are of pink flowers. Make sure you use the type of "plate hangers" that secure to the back of the plates so that no hardware is seen taking away from the beauty of the wonderful floral design found on these two little saucers.

CH58510087

Vintage Noritake Egg Coddler Cups China Noritake White! Vintage Noritake Egg Coddler Cups China Noritake White Gold; here are three wonderful "Egg Coddlers" or cups make by the famous manufacturer of china Noritake all three in excellent condition ready to be added to an existing set or to start a collection. These three egg coddler cups with a simple elegance of being designed of fine white bone china and trimmed out in gold would certainly go with any existing set of china one might have.

These egg coddler cups measure 3 inches high, the top is 2 3/8 inches in diameter and the bottom is 2 inches in diameter. All three of these cups are in excellent condition found without any chips or nicks though there is slight wear to the gold trim; marked as shown in the pictures below; "Noritake", "Made in Japan", "U S Design Pat Applied For".

The Noritake mark is dated to prior to 1953 when the "M" for Morimura in a wreath, crowned by "NORITAKE" "Made in Japan". The use of the "M" gives a date before 1953 when the long used "M" in a wreath was replaced with an "N" for Noritake. Until 1921 Noritake predominately marked export wares Nippon meaning Japan in Japanese, while most back stamps after 1921 state "Japan" or "Made in Japan." From the early 1920 and probably until 1940 most if not all US market patterns were designed in New York.

We have another set of 6 Vintage Bavaria China Egg Coddlers; please browse our China Category or view item CH109510127.

History; Since 1904, Noritake has been bringing beauty and quality to dinner tables around the world. Superior artistry and craftsmanship, attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to quality have made Noritake an international trademark during this past century.

The Noritake of today grew out of a trading company that was originally established by the Morimura Brothers in New York in 1876. This trading company imported chinaware, curios, paper lanterns and other gift items. In 1904, the forerunner of the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan. The goal of this first factory was to create western style dinnerware for export. It took until 1914, however, to create the first porcelain dinnerware plate that was suitable for export.

The earliest dinnerware plates were mostly hand-painted, often with liberal applications of gold. By the early 1920's, Noritake introduced assembly line techniques which allowed for mass production of high quality, yet affordable dinnerware. In the ensuing decades, Noritake continued to perfect it's production capabilities and expand to markets world-wide.

Today, Noritake is an acknowledged leader in tableware manufacturing and marketing with subsidiaries, factories and affiliates around the world. Our products are sold to customers in over 100 countries and are used in hotels, restaurants and airlines throughout the world.
