Bowl – Antique Sterling Silver –Embossing Shell Motifs There is not enough to be said about Antique Sterling Silver, it truly has a world of its own. This exquisite antique Sterling Silver Bow measures 8 1/8 inches square and is 1 ¼ inches deep. The markings on this bowl are "sterling" with the number "6969" appearing on the back.

This Exquisite Sterling Silver Bowl has so much to be said about it. The heavily embossed shell motifs that enhance the edge of this bowl are so traditional in design. The lovely initials engraved in the center "GCG", with the delicate leaves intertwined into the initials, only makes me think who this bowl once belonged to and how it was used. Tip on Sterling; don’t wash sterling and stainless together. If they touch, a chemical reaction may occur, resulting in black spots on the sterling. Use a mild dishwashing liquid, and don't apply undiluted dishwashing liquid directly to sterling. Detergents containing phosphate can turn sterling brown.
