Vintage Vase Japanese Pottery Floral Motifs Green 1940’s; I never knew that so many people collected Vintage Japanese pottery; I have found books and books on the collection of Japan Pottery. At a recent estate that I purchased, this person had collected so much of Japan Ware that I have truly started to admire it.
The vase measures; 5 3/8 inches high, the top is 2 5/8 inches in diameter and the base is 2 ¾ inches in diameter, the width of the top from handle to handle is 3 ¾ inches and the diameter at the center of the vase is 3 ¼ inches. The piece is simple marked "Made in Japan". The vase is in excellent condition with no chips or "crazing".

This is a wonderful Vintage Vase, with all the motifs of the 40 and 50’s era, the charming basket weaves set as a background to the collection of floral motifs in multi-colored flowers. This vase is not just decorated on the front, but the front and back of this vase carries the same design as well as being decorated on the handles.
This would be a wonderful piece to set in a powder bath on the vanity in front of a mirror, or on a hall table where both front and back can be appreciated.
