The artist uses live flower and imprints the flowers into the wet clay, then once the clay has dried before fired they paint by hand the wonderful colors of the flowers.
This wonderful handmade plaque that pronounces "Welcome" measures 9 3/8 inches long and 7 ¼ inches high and is 3/8 inches thick. This beautiful decorative plaque is stamped by the artist and numbered; each piece of their work has its own uniqueness not one is like another. The flowers are so deeply imprinted into the clay that they leave an embossing to the piece. Once finished the piece is fired with an amazing "blue haze" glaze.
Also note that this splendid decorative plaque has been created with "plate hanger" made into it making it easy to hang on a wall for display. This is wonderful piece of art and is in excellent condition with the exception of a very small chip on the back that once hung would not be noticed, we have shown this in the pictures below.
If you are a gardener or just love flowers imagine this marvelous plaque so decorative with the imprint of Lavender at your back door to welcome your guest.
If you are a collector of "American Pottery consider this piece for yourself or how perfect a gift for one who is moving into their first home.
