Clothes Brushes Sterling Silver Antique Pair English Leather Case; this is truly a superb set of antique sterling silver "Vanity Brushes", found in their original leather case both in excellent condition. How unusual to find a pair of matching "Clothes Brushes" in such wonderful condition.
Please excuse the Sterling not being cleaned, however being that the base of the brushes are made of wood and the bristles, to be horse hair, we did not want to take a chance in cleaning this set.
This is truly an extraordinary set, so handsome and rich; the hand stitched leather case measures 5 ¼ inches long, 3 1/8 inches deep and 3 ½ inches wide the buckle to the case is in good working condition; the Sterling Silver brushes made on a wooden base and the bristles being horse hair measures 4 ¾ inches long and 3 inches wide. The brushes and the leather case are again are in outstanding condition.

Tip on Sterling; don’t wash sterling and stainless together. If they touch, a chemical reaction may occur, resulting in black spots on the sterling. Use a mild dishwashing liquid, and don't apply undiluted dishwashing liquid directly to sterling. Detergents containing phosphate can turn sterling brown.
