Vintage Box Rectangular Brass Inlay Raised Carved Floral Relief; there are so many people who collect these vintage / antique wooden boxes used throughout the centuries in so many ways; from lap desk, tea caddies, tobacco, knifes, as time marched on, for stamps, playing cards, cigarettes, and now for remote controls.
You can find wooden boxes in all sizes and from truly antique, to vintage from the very expensive to very affordable such as this vintage rectangular box. This vintage box beautiful with the carved raised relief in a floral motif decorative brass inlay found on the top measures 8 7/8 inches long, 5 inches deep and stands 2 3/8 inches high, the inside depth is 1 ½ inches high;.
Found unmarked, lined with a blue felt this vintage decorative box is found in wonderful condition, the hinges are in place and not loose however due to the use of the box the hinges need to be tighten the lid when open does not stand vertical. Please notice the bottom of this box and how well it was put together with the tiniest of nails.
