Bill Nye's Comic History of the U.S. -1906 Edition This is the first printing of the second edition. It is scarce and in very good condition. Illustrated blue cloth boards with some fading and minor spine rub for age. There is an owner stamp on the front page. The frontpiece illustration is loose.

The author Bill Nye died in 1896. He was a distinquished American journalist, who later became widely known as a humorist.

C. Dickens-A Christmas Carol-1929 This is the famous Dickens novel "A Christmas Carol. It is from Saalfield"s "Every Child's Libarary Series. It has at least 7 full page color prints inside. These were done by Fern Bisel Peat, who was a well regard illustrator of children's books, magazines and toys. There are over 50 pen and ink illustrations done by Helene Nyce. A beautiful book for your collection.

The Saalfiel Publishing Company was founded in 1900 by Arthur J. Saalfield who had come to Akron to take over the publishing department of the Werner Company. The Werner Company wished to discontinue the publishing end of the business, and Mr. Saalfield acquired it. Although Saalfield published books on diverse subject matter, Mr. Saalfield recognized the dearth of good books for children. Saalfield soon became one of the largest and most important publishers of children's books.

This copy is in near perfect condition. The cover itself is dark blue. What makes this unusual it still has its original dust jacket which is also in very good condition. No significant tears. Wearing on edge as expected.

On the inside it says in pencil "Property of Eleanor & Mary Wheeler, 215 North Sixth Ave. E, Newton, Iowa."

1937 Snow White & 7 Dwarfs Children's Book This is a 1937 Snow-White and Seven Dwarfs. Illustrations are done by Bess Livings. It was published by Rand McNally & Company. It is approximately 60 pages. This a great addition for any Disney or Snow White Collector.

Condition is Good+/Very Good. Some wear to edges/cover, pages. Pages and illustrations are in very good shape. For a book over 70 years old, it is in very good condition.

1924 Pinocchio-A Tale of a Puppet This is a hard cover edition published by M.A. Donohue. The book is in very good condition. No breaks in the binding. The book is inscripted given as a Christmas Gift in 1924. It does not have a copyright date but would assume it would be 1924. Inscription is in pencil and says "To Maurice Stolman from Marshall and Betty Woodind-Dec. 25, 1924." It has a great cover. It was considered a classic of children's literature and was written by Italian author C. Collodi in the 1880s. Walt Disney based his 1940 feature "Pinocchio" on this book.

The illustration on the front is a past down illustration. This is the first edition done by A. L. Burt. There is a great color front page by Davis. Inside is the inscription in pencil "Merry Christmas to Eleanor from Aunty Vista."

The 218 page book and binding are in excellent shape, with the expected minor page toning. No names or ink. The dust jacket is also good. This book "Emmy Lou Her Book and Heart" was first published in 1901. This is the early one published in 1902. It is in decorative light blue cloth with a picture of Emmy Lou studying at a school desk. It is in very good condition. Book binding in good shape. Book has no dust cover and is a little dirty, otherwise in great shape. This was the author's most popular book. Some very light browining of pages due to age.
