Alfred Meakin Art Deco Tureen This is a beautiful art deco tureen produced by Alfred Meakin. On the underside is the Alfred Meakin factory mark, incorporating the Pattern name. The style of this mark dates this piece to the 1930s. The transfer print is in colbalt blue and gold trim with Autumnal tree and leaf design. The tureen sits on 4 little feet. The tureen measures 14" in length handle to handle and 10.5 wide. It is in beautiful condition. It stands 5" including the handle.

Alfred Meakin Ltd. was set up in 1875 and operated from Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran a large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Alfred Meakin died in 1904 and was succeeded by his son Alfred James who died only four years later. The company stayed in the family until 1976.

Rosenthal "Helena" Bread or Salad Plate The detail on this plate is remarkable (it is one of five). It has various painted vignettes of couples surrounding the outside of the plate. The inner circle is a vibrant turquoise with gold overlay and detail.

This bread/salad plate is called "Helena" and according "Pottery & Porcelain Marks" by Chad Lage the mark shows it was made between 1907 and 1956.

Set of Flow Blue China This is a set of 6 dinner plates, 9.25"; 2 salad plates,7"; and 2 cups and saucers. All have some crazing. All of the plates are in good condition with the exception of one dinner plate that has a chip on edge and one salad plate has a chip on the edge. (See last picture) The plates are not marked.

Antique Victoria Austria Flow Blue Figural Plate This figural plate is marked: Porcelain Factory Victoria Altrohlau 1891-1918. The transferware is amazing in detail and the colors are vivid and captivatint. This artistic rendition of cupid appearing to get the attention of a beautiful woman in Grecian dress. It is surrounded by a flow blue border accented with gold scrolling. There are two small chips on the edge that do not detract from the plate.

Vintage Pedestal Pressed Glass Cake Salver or Plate This is an extra nice flat circular dish with elegant hobstairs in the pattern. The dish has a raised edge. The height is 10" in diameter and 7" tall. Very attractive base with scalloped edges. Very attractive and heavy weight. No conditions issues. What a great way to show a special cake or cookies or show off at your summer tea party.

Hall's Tulip Nesting Bowl One of the nesting bowls made by Hall's in the Tulip Pattern. It is 6" in diameter. It has silver trim. There is a chip (see pictures), otherwise it is in good condition.

Vintage Child's Pottery Dish/Plate Warmer This darling little child's plate was made to keep the baby's food warm by pouring hot water in the bottom and sealing it with two cork stoppers. It has "Little Bo Peek" and a "cat and dog" decorations. It is 9.5" wide and 2" tall. It has the expected crazing and is in very good condition.
