Vintage Mexican Silver screw-on earrings, round disks in mother of pearl. We think this is an older pair. With a magnifying glass, you can see several cracks on each earring in the m.o.p. inlay, not very noticeable on one, the flaws are more visible on another and minor loss of m.o.p. on one. Stamped on backs of both earrings. Can make out 925 and mexico and a partial clover type mark, we believe is the Los Ballesteros mark, although marks on both earrings are not complete. The backs of the earrings are solid silver to take the m.o.p. inlay. Believe these are a good, earlier example of early fine Mexican silver and inlay work. |
