Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp - Ruby Red, Cranberry Shade Beautiful. A Victorian hanging oil lamp with a gorgeous, one of a kind hand blown glass shade. This lovely old piece has been restored and is once again ready to grace a room in someone's home. The 13 3/4 inch shade is hand blown with ground flat edges. Being made made this shade is a true one of a kind piece. The ruby red, or cranberry glass features a pattern called Dot, or Thousand Eye Optic. The cranberry red shade has another interesting feature in that the out side is smooth and slightly frosted, while the inside is textured by the optic pattern. Very neat I think.
The heavy brass shade ring is dripping with a mixture of red and clear cut glass dangling crystal which add even more sparkle and shine to the antique brass lamp frame. This lamp also has a brass crown, which adorns the top of the vintage shade and above it hangs a wonderful cut glass clear and frosted crystal smoke bell. The font is not an exact match to the bell, but it is more than close enough to look great and add even more brilliance to this fine Victorian oil lamp.

Antique Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp w/ Ruby Red Shade A very unique Victorian brass and ruby red glass hanging oil lamp chandelier that probably dates back to the end the 1800's. This gorgeous antique hanging lamp has been carefully restored to its original working condition without any of the major parts needing to be replaced. We did add new 'old vintage stock' brass ladder chains and a very nice period chimney, but other than a good deal of cleaning and polishing and some new hook connections, this lamp has the same parts it did when it was first put into use over 100 years ago. The ruby red ruffled top shade is in perfect condition. The glass is heavy and has a subtle swirled rib pattern to the opaque red glass. The font is glass with a brass top and a Brenner Matador burner. The burner has a few spots that show slight damage; ( see photos) but none that justified replacing such a great looking old burner. There is a counterbalance weight with a band which you could add crystals too if you so desire and with this weighted counterbalance the lamp can be raised and lowered for lighting and cleaning.
This is a heavy, sturdy and very functional antique Victorian oil lamp chandelier that will offer you many years of use while it graces your home with its unique beauty and charm.

Lovely Hand Painted Antique Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp

This wonderful antique hanging oil lamp is a perfect example of simple beauty. Frankly this old Victorian lamp doesn't need anything more added, but that is just one person's opinion. You may think a few dangles would add something to this chandelier's beauty and you would also be right. The truth is this lamp would be gorgeous in any room, and with any number of changes made to it. This lamp is timeless and classic from the solid brass frame with its 1880's patent dates, to the fronted and etched glass font, to the ready to light antique burner, and all the way to the 14" hand painted milk glass shade. Oh and don't forget the milk glass smoke bell or the fine looking ceiling cap.

Huge Antique Hanging Oil Lamp. Grapes



This is a very impressive old hanging oil lamp. Not only is it very large, its globe style shade measuring 18 inches tall, this is also an absolutely breathtaking beauty of an oil lamp. The shade is heavy and very thick old textured glass with three huge clusters of grapes depicted as though still hanging ripe on the vines. The colors are intense and very appealing, but this old hanging oil lamp has more to it than just the beauty of its shade. This lamp is suspended and perfectly balance against the weight of the tiny tall oil lamp that can be pulled down out of the bottom of the shade, lit and then quite easily raised back up and into the shade where it remains hanging by the three brass chains it shares with the globe to which it was made to light. We had to do some replacement of parts to get this lovely old hanging oil lamp back to working condition and even substituted several unlikely parts to restore the oil lamp itself, but in the end I think you'll agree, this lamp just had to be fixed. It was simply too lovely Not to try.

Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp. Yellows & Amber & Brass Another refurbished old Victorian hanging oil lamp, this lovely old piece is once again ready to grace a room in someone's life. The shade is 14 inches in diameter and has four matching floral scenes that have been reverse painted with a background of pale yellow. The shade has some nicks and scrapes to the paint at the bottom edge, but they are completely covered by the heavy brass shade ring, which will hold 30 cut glass crystal U drop pendants. This lamp also has a brass crown, which adorns the top of the vintage shade and above it hangs another brass decorative ring, which is used to balance the chains, but can also hold at least 16 cut class crystal pendants. We can offer the pendants are just under a dollar each, so please let us know if you'd like them shipped along with your lovely Victorian oil lamp. Because of the lamp's weight, we are offering it as a stationary mounting and will set the chain lengths according to your specifications. This set up could easily be converted to move up and down by means of a counterweight, but we chose not to list this one as such in order to offer a very attractive price on this beautiful old Victorian lamp

Red & Black hanging oil lamp. curved glass tulip shade Here's a cute little hanging oil lamp that has a lot's of good looks and won't break the bank to own. The shade is made of curved red slag glass in an eight panel tulip style that is bound in a thin black framework. There's a very nice, fully functional antique font of clear pressed glass with a frosted chimney and safety tested burner. The frame is rather spartan, but goes well with the rest of the lamp parts and features a fancy shade crown and very neat spring type font band that is quite unique. Overall width is 14 inches and height is 20. Great little oil lamp at a special price.

Vintage Hand Painted Hangingl Lamp - Daisies - Signed Here is the perfect hanging lamp for welcoming spring. This lovely hand painted old shade measures 14 inches in diameter and has the artist's name hidden amidst a field of daisies. This wonderful spring bouquet of fresh cut flowers is highlighted beautifully by an old Fenton opalescent white hobnail font that seems able to absorb the subtle earth-tones of the shade. Of course then we have this gorgeous brass hanging frame. This unit has extra long chains so you can adjust its height to suit just about any room or situation. A B&P brass burner and a tall, slender chimney make up the rest of the units pieces. The artist who gave us this lovely shade signed it as well with the name Ruby. There are a few paint rubs around the top opening of the shade, but the shade crown covers those and even if it did not, the marks are not very troubling at all, when compared to the all the great things this old oil lamp has going for it. Old General Store Hanging Oil Lamp & Frame. Nice This original early 1900's hanging oil lamp once was used to light an old time General Store and clearly was well cared for, because the brass is almost as bright and shiny as when this old oil lamp was first put into service. This is a large lamp totaling 32 inches from bottom to the hanging ring. The shade is original antique white milk glass and is 14 inches in diameter. This lamp bears the name, The Belgium Lamp on the wick knob and L&B Brevette is stamped into the filler cap. The frame likely had a patent date from the late 1890's, but I could not find it and did not want to disturb the very unusual finish that someone has applied to the frame. The frame is coated in a silver/gray texture that makes me think it is some sort of rust converter which is known to be very durable, but I did not know any on the market was so good looking. This lamp has a brand new wick and the mechanisms for the center draft burner are all ready to be used once again. There are some bumps and small bruises here and there, but for its age, this is one great looking antique Store Lamp.

Hand Painted Hanging Oil Lamp - Spring Flowers Renewed Here is another gorgeous antique brass and glass hanging oil lamp which has been skillfully repainted by hand to match as closely as possible the original artwork. Not only has the font and shade been restored, the brass frame and everything else right down to the spring loaded motor that allows the lamp to easily be raised and lowered for lighting, refilling or cleaning. Antique Hanging Oil Lamp - Solid Brass w/ Red Shade We are pleased to offer for sale this rare and unusual antique hanging oil lamp. English made and dating to the early 1900's, this lovely antique oil lamp features a solid brass frame, complete with the original plum brown age patina, and is crowned with a lovely red pleated glass shade. The underside of the shade is cased in white glass and so the lamp is able to both offer a pleasing level of light which is complimented, not overpowered, by red overtones. This great old British lamp was made by Duplex and with the new wicks we have added to it's double flame burner, it should continue to last and give off its warm light for decades to come.
The lamp is complete and original and looks like the style of lamp that would have been used to light a railroad dinning car. I say that because it was made in a way that allows for very little movement of the shade, font or chimney.
