Set Fenton oil lamps. Honeysuckle Opalescent Coin Dot

This pair of gorgeous Fenton table lamps are original vintage oil lamps that have been repaired or restored to working condition. The lamps feature Fenton Honeysuckle opalescent coin dot shades and fonts, some with all or part of the original Fenton label still intact. The honey gold color of the glass mixes perfectly with the natural age patina color of the copper bases. Seldom will toy find two more stunning examples of Fenton art glass. The lamps stand nearly 2 feet tall and although there can be found some minor differences between the two lamps; they are quite lovely as a pair. '
For example, notice the bases. One is about a quarter inch thicker at the bottom portion than is the other, yet the size and pattern; even the pewter accents are identical one to the other. The fonts and shade are also from differing runs, but the differences are much too slight to draw attention to their differences. The shade rings and burners are by different makers, but again are really close and work wonderfully together to complete this pair of gorgeous old Fenton opalescent Honeysuckle coin dot pattern antique oil lamps. Rare Aladdin hand painted custard glass tall oil lamp. This beautiful lamp is not easy to describe and that is because there are so many rare and unique features just begging to be mentioned. First of all this is an ALADDIN table lamp; Aladdin can be found in raised relief on the base. There is a fancy Queen Ann oil burner made by B&P and the lamp body itself serves as the oil font. A Small intricate, bouquet of flowers is hand painted on both sides of the lamp and even though this lamp is an antique, it remains in wonderful, usable condition.
To makes this lovely old oil lamp even more special, it is topped off by a fabulous antique 10 inch art glass shade that features iridescent marigold carnival glass. The lamp stands 16 inches tall from the bottom to the lower edge of the oil burner and when you add the shade the whole piece stands a little over two feet tall.
I think I have done all I can to describe this gorgeous old lamp and if you will look through the photos, I am sure you'll see why I said this incredible old Aladdin oil lamp is not an easy piece to describe.
Oh yes, please note the lines that at first look like hairline cracks shown in the photo of the lamp base. These are not cracks, they are some sort of molding imperfection. They do not go through the glass and kind of remind me of the mark one makes when removing a brush bristle from partially dried paint.

Cranberry Coin Dot Victorian Table Lamp. Fenton Shade This lovely old Victorian era oil burning table lamp has a solid brass base and features a wonderfully matched Cranberry coin dot opalescent font and shade. The shade is extraordinary and still has its original Fenton maker's tag. The burner has been completely restored and although we could not undo all the signs of damage it once had, we managed to make everything work quite nicely and look even better. Hand Painted GWTW Victorian Oil Lamp. Dogwoods This wonderful old lamp came to us in an almost hopeless condition. The 10 inch hand painted milk glass ball shade was broken in several pieces and simply could not be saved. Fortunately as some of you may already know, my lovely wife Jacki is a wonderful artist and when she saw the beautiful dogwood flowers lying in pieces at the bottom of the box, she immediately asked me to find her an old ball shade so she could paint it to match the broken shade and replace it on this very unique old brass and pot metal lamp. As you can see from the photos, she did a marvelous job. This lamp is not 100 percent, but it is still quite a fine looking center draft oil lamp, made in America by Miller and if handled with some care, will last for decades to come. My wife has signed the shade and who knows what that could mean in years to come.

Huge Antique Hanging Oil Lamp. Grapes



This is a very impressive old hanging oil lamp. Not only is it very large, its globe style shade measuring 18 inches tall, this is also an absolutely breathtaking beauty of an oil lamp. The shade is heavy and very thick old textured glass with three huge clusters of grapes depicted as though still hanging ripe on the vines. The colors are intense and very appealing, but this old hanging oil lamp has more to it than just the beauty of its shade. This lamp is suspended and perfectly balance against the weight of the tiny tall oil lamp that can be pulled down out of the bottom of the shade, lit and then quite easily raised back up and into the shade where it remains hanging by the three brass chains it shares with the globe to which it was made to light. We had to do some replacement of parts to get this lovely old hanging oil lamp back to working condition and even substituted several unlikely parts to restore the oil lamp itself, but in the end I think you'll agree, this lamp just had to be fixed. It was simply too lovely Not to try.

Fine Oil type Banquet Lamp. Brass & Cranberry Glass Here is an exceptional looking antique banquet lamp in fine working condition. This tall beauty stands 26 inches to the top of the P&A brass burner and reaches all the way to 44 inches when you add the classic old clear glass chimney. The lamp also features a beautiful black, gray and pink veined marble base and lots of bright, shiny old brass, not to mention the gorgeous Cranberry thumb print glass oil font. Vintage Hand Painted Hangingl Lamp - Daisies - Signed Here is the perfect hanging lamp for welcoming spring. This lovely hand painted old shade measures 14 inches in diameter and has the artist's name hidden amidst a field of daisies. This wonderful spring bouquet of fresh cut flowers is highlighted beautifully by an old Fenton opalescent white hobnail font that seems able to absorb the subtle earth-tones of the shade. Of course then we have this gorgeous brass hanging frame. This unit has extra long chains so you can adjust its height to suit just about any room or situation. A B&P brass burner and a tall, slender chimney make up the rest of the units pieces. The artist who gave us this lovely shade signed it as well with the name Ruby. There are a few paint rubs around the top opening of the shade, but the shade crown covers those and even if it did not, the marks are not very troubling at all, when compared to the all the great things this old oil lamp has going for it. Take a look, I'm suire you'll agree this is a beauty.

Lovely old Banquet Lamp - Cranberry Font & Cherubs Base When we first purchased this lovely old Victorian banquet lamp, we couldn't figure out why it kept leaking lamp oil from somewhere under the base. After about the third fill up one of my helpers
toke the lamp completely apart and found the reason. It turns out that someone has at some point in time converted this gorgeous old oil lamp over to electric light. How long it remained that way I have no clue, but sometime later, the lamp was re-converted back over for oil use. Unfortunatley whoever did the work was not as careful as they should have been at applying sealant, because the leak we kept noticing under the base was a slow, steady drip from the rubber washer that was about half coated in sealant was leaking from the uncoated side and running down inside the base and out through the bottom.
The cherubs and the thumbprint font in this wonderful old cranberry color were just too nice not to fix, so after resealing the font and replacing several missing check rings, this beautiful old banquet lamp is once
again a working vintage oil lamp. The font is a full 6 inches across and sits atop a cast metal base that holds three cute little cherubs. The hand holding darlings are as cute as can be. Not even a few nicks and several little spots where some touch up paint was applied could detract from the charm of this great Victorian oil lamp. The lamp is roughtly 16 inches tall from base to the burner collar and is lit by a extremely nice
Scoville Queen Ann burner. The chimney is over 8 inches tall and has lots of swirls annd character, which is a testament to its old age and high quality.

Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail and Brass Banquet Lamp Gorgeous Cranberry Hobnail Opalescent Glass and solid Brass banquet oil lamp. Standing over 22 inches tall from base to the top of its burner, this great old Fenton cranberry Hobnail font is as pretty as any antique oil lamp I have yet to see. The simplicity of the design is the secret to this lamps pure elegance and the colorful cranberry font is nothing short of dazzling. Fully restored to working condition, this is a lamp you can display proudly and one that will gather more than its share of compliments from your guests.

Fabulous antique Table Lamp. Bronze Eagle, crystals + A JM Picker original creation, this wonderful old table lamp features an excellent looking bronze eagle. The details and even the eagle’s expression are amazing, but there are lots more to this lamp. The base is from a country store with a top floor that was used for everything from Mason’s meetings, to dance hall, to speak easy and other things no one will talk about. The wooden column this base supported was on the front porch of the building and other than being wiped down and given a coat of clear sealer, the base is exactly as it was found. Above the bronze eagle is an array of sparkling crystal topped off by a white milk glass light diffuser, which provides the base for a great old antique shade. The shade has some damage to the inner lining, but that doesn’t detract anything from how great it looks on the outside. Accented by silk fringes, this lamp is another of JM’s classic works of art. The base is signed on the bottom by JM Picker and everything possible used to make this lamp was itself antique.

Fenton Cranberry Rib Optic Oil Lamp. Milk Glass Base It is hard to use all the words that go along with trying to describe this wonderful antique Victorian table lamp, but I will try my best. This gorgeous old oil lamp has a faint, hard to detect hint of gold iridescence, hidden within the rib optic pattern of the cranberry red glass. The pear shaped font is mounted onto an opalescent milk glass base, which is in excellent condition on the outer surface, but has a few chips on the underside. Fortunately those chips are old and out of site and represent no danger to anyone. The rib optic style of the pear shaped oil font is lovely and the combination of the cranberry red, aged brass and opalescent milk glass is truly stunning. The brass burner is an antique Queen Ann style made by Scoville in the USA and the old clear chimney is wonderfully wavy to look at or through. The lamp stands 12 inches tall without the chimney and 24 with it. I was told that someone once tried to convert this to electric, but gave up on the project. If you look very very close you can see where a hole was begun on the side of one foot on the base. Had I not been told and not had my magnifier and light to help me, I would never, ever have noticed the mark. A lovely old Fenton oil lamp from a long ago Victorian time.

Oil Lamp. Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail. Cherub Base Here is a stunning Fenton Cranberry Hobnail pattern opalescent oil lamp with a wonderful cast metal cherub serving as the lamp's base. The details are very fine and the lamp itself is simply fabulous. The Fenton opalescent hobnail font and shade are perfectly matched and the cranberry color is deep and rich with very little wear and no cracks. The burner had to be all but completely restored, but I am happy to say it is once again working, as it should. The markings on the wick knob are hard to read but show either 1860 or 1880 patent dating. I tend to think it looks more like 1860, but that is only my opinion. The lamp stands a full 27 inches from base to the top of the chimney, which itself is a very unusual and eye catching accent to the already appealing cranberry lamp. Want to really give a special someone a truly special gift? This beautiful lamp is that and more. On top of it all, it works.
