Old Brass Door Knocker - lovely age patina - Heavy pc. Here's a very nice antique brass door knocker with mounting bolt. This old door knocker is what I would call traditional in it's style, but with size, weight and appeal far above the majority of traditional pieces. For one thing, this piece is solid brass and very heavy. A well made knocker indeed, but even more impressive is the wonderful deep color of its age patina. Seldom are we fortunate enough to find one of these that has not had its character polished away by someone with a desire to 'clean it up.'
This great old brass knocker measures 4 1/2 x 5 inches and comes with its original large brass mounting bolt. A really classic piece.

Old Victorian Cast Iron Door Knocker - great age patina This antique cast iron door knocker measures 9 1/2 Inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide. A very heavy, impressive looking piece with great Victorian designs and a large ring for knocking against the base to let your friends know there is someone at the door. We've gently steel wooled the finish to remove just a little of the dirt, but left the age patina alone. We also replaced the pin that holds the hammer or ring in place because the original was almost rusted away and we did not want your knocker to fall off the first time someone tried to use it. Not much chance that will happen for a few decades at the least

Gorgeous Antique Hand Turn Door Bell - Sargent 1897 A very fancy antique cast iron and brass mechanical door bell made by Sargent Company of New Britain Ct. Based on the design and other items we have handled that were made by Sargent, I am estimating this bell to be between 95 and 115 years old. The bell is a very unique piece, made with clock like internal parts, it is manually operated by turning a key-like devise that would be mounted on the outside of your main door, directly opposite the bell part of the piece, which mounts on the inside. This was removed from an old New England estate and has a good amount of very nice age patina on the face and is in excellent mechanical condition. Very detailed and ornate, the piece measures five inches wide and has a three and one half inch diameter bell. Included is the ornate brass key device used to ring the bell. It is not original to this bell, but fits and works correctly and is a good match in appearance and quality to this bell. The key devise came from the same estate. We will include a copy of our easy to understand, DIY installation instructions with each bell we sell and remember that Picker's tests all of our mechanical doorbells to be certain they are in good working order and ready for you to install and use as soon as they arrive.

Vintage Iron Door Knocker - Praying Angel - sweet This really is a nice piece. A heavy iron door knocker cast in the form of a lovely little angel who is kneeling to pray. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. Probably the sweetest depiction of an angel I have ever seen. This piece came by way of a contractor who had been involved with the renovation of St. Paul's Church, in eastern Penna. The work is wonderful in its detail and the knocker is in excellent condition.
A heavy, rather sizable piece of hardware that measures 2 inches wide by 6 inches high and nearly 4 inches deep.
What a wonderful gift this would make for someone special.

Vintage Cast iron Door Knocker - Old white Paint Here's another very heavy, well-made vintage door that really has a lot of charm. The knocker is made of cast iron and was at some point painted white. Over the years the paint has aged and the iron has begun to show some small areas of rust, but to me that is what gives this piece its charming character. Measuring 7 1/4 inches long x 3 1/2 inches at the widest point ~ this is a substantial piece that will easily be heard anywhere in the house. No there is a very nice gift idea.

Vintage Brass Eagle Door Knocker - very nice This finely cast, solid brass American Eagle Door Knocker came off a house in the Hudson River Valley of upstate NY It features exceptionally detailed casting of the feathers, arrows and tobacco leaves, which are being held in the eagles tallons. There is also a banner from the beak and shield on the eagles chest. This is the perfect place to have your name or house number engraved. The quality of the craftsmanship leads me to believe this piece was American made and likely dates to the mid 1900's. The screws on the back are manufactured and have octagonal nuts that come through the door for securing. The Eagle measures 6" tall by 7" wide and screws project out from the back a full 2". We have not cleaned this piece and it is as we have found it. A very nice addition to someone's front door.

Unusal Door Knocker - Castle? Coliseum? Ancient Ruins..
A very unique old doorknocker made of solid brass depicting the ruins of some huge old structure. Is it the coliseum, or the ruins of an ancient castle? Perhaps some part of Greek or Italian history?
This item came from someone to whom it was passed on to as a family heirloom, but the person had no interest in antiques, so their loss is now our good fortune, because this is really a neat old knocker. It measures 6 1/2 inches high and weighs about 8 oz, but feels heavier than that. A great piece to hang on your castle, or to give to someone special.
