Here is another glass lightning rod or weather vane ball that is absolutely gorgeous. This antique ball started out in life a plain white milk glass color, then was changed by time and the light of the sun into this wonderful mix of swirling amethyst shades. There is some wear around the collars, but the copper caps are more than enough to keep them safe. measurement on this ball 4 1/2" round x 5 1/2 " end to end . Once you've decided on where to display this classic old piece of americana, try putting a tiny light up inside of it. I think you'll love the way it glows.
