Tinplate Pre-War Lionel Red 248 Engine & Passenger Set - O scale - C 1920’s - 30's
Here is a fantastic old Lionel antique train set that was made during the 1920’s and 30’s. This fine looking Lionel Lines 248, dark red electric engine still runs and looks great. Powerful enough to easily pulls its load of matching 607 Pullman and 608 Observation cars. The set has wear and use marks as well as some paint chips scattered here and there among the three pieces, but considering its age, I’d say this old passenger set survived in real good condition. C 7 or better in my opinion. The sound of its old metal wheels as they clang and rattle along the tracks is the perfect impersonation of those old time electric trains and trolleys that once carried people from small towns to big cities, day s after day and year after year. As reliable as those old trains were, this set is every bit as solid and dependable. Give it a try this holiday season. You’ll be amazed at who can’t get enough of watching tour train run. |
