I'm not ready to do a conversion on any of the lamps in my house just yet, but for those of you who either own or are thinking about purchasing an antique hanging oil or Kerosene lamp, but don't want to spend the small amount of extra time an oil lamp requires, here is a chance to have the best of both worlds for very little money. The conversion kits we offer at Pickers are not just some pre-packaged, chain store, one size works for all, made half way around the world junk we have all been forced to buy since the superstores wiped out most of the competition. These kits are custom made to specifications that you supply so they fit your lamp perfectly. Just use our order form; <available by request> to tell us a little about your lamp. Nothing major. Things like where you would be plugging it in and how far away is the outlet? Would you prefer a white, brown or black cord and attaching ties, what size and type burner does you lamp now have? There are some other things we'd like to know as well in order to insure our converter fits and works as planned. Just send us an email requesting an order form, or call and talk to us directly about one. Our base price for a typical conversion can be found in this listed. Some lamps may require additional parts or fittings, which we will figure into a price and give you our quote before you place your order. Please allow up to 72 hours receive the form. Not everyone at Picker's has been fully trained on this new offering just yet and we want to make sure the right people handle your order personally. Oh Yeah! I almost forgot. We are running a SPECIAL Price on our custom conversions for anyone who buys one of our oil lamps during our Pre-Holiday Sale. Buy any qualifying oil lamp and get a custom electric conversion kit for just Five Dollars. (Regular Price = $ 49.00) Don't worry, you still get to take 10% off the regular price of everything in the store too, but only during our Pre-Holiday Sale. So come on. What are you waiting for? Picker's Treasures WOW! What a Great Gift!
Note: some lamps do not meet our requirements for a safe conversion. If that is the case, we will let you know immediately and refund any money you've paid for the conversion kit. In some situations an Electrical Contractor or Electrician will be needed in order to perform any changes or upgrades to your electrical system that must meet code requirements. Ask you local zoning officer before adding and new outlets or additional wiring to be sure and to be safe. JM
