Condition: antique - good - as found Manufacturer: Sargent Here is a wonderful Victorian Cast Iron & Copper hand opperated Door Bell made by Sargent near the end of the 1800's. The copper bell which mounts inside the house measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter by approximately 3 1/2 inches deep. The back of of the door bell is marked Sargent, along with some other numeric markings. The beel or ringer part of this bell is made of copper and is attached to a heavy cast iron base. The other part of the bell is the turn knob. This part mounts on the outside of the door where visitors would simply turn the knob to ring the bell.
