I guarantee this great copper horse to be at least 50 years old, and likely more. Classic, highly detailed, large copper weathervane horse still firmly attached to his mounting rods. I'm sure this old fellow has seen his share of rough times and even has a few scars to prove it, but doesn't he look great anyway? I think so and I hope you do to. The full bodied figure is made of two pieces of heavy copper that was tin soldered together and mounted on a copper base rod. The rod measures 30 inches long and our friend Mr. Horse is 15 inches high. I've included some pictures to show the fine craftsmanship and detail in the work. I think you can tell just from these places that this is a real antique vane figure. A little beat up, a great age patina and still ready to run, this is a classic folk art weathervane horse that can only get better with time. |
