Here is another gorgeous antique brass and glass hanging oil lamp which has been skillfully repainted by hand to match as closely as possible the original artwork. Not only has the font and shade been restored, the brass frame and everything else right down to the spring loaded motor that allows the lamp to easily be raised and lowered for lighting, refilling or cleaning. We did not polish away the patina of time, but simply cleaned off the dust and made certain everything was working properly. Of course the real stars of this show are the lovely spring flowers that have been restored on the more than 100-year-old shade and font. An eye-catching beauty, ready and waiting to be put on display.
