This fabulous antique split oak basket was weaved together by hand and fastened with old iron nails perhaps as far back as the 1870's. The basket is not perfectly round, nor does it sit exactly strait, fact is that many places on it have damage or even loss of the oak splits, but talk about charm and class and shear primitive beauty, this great old split oak woven basket has plenty to spare. Roughly 18 wide by 14 tall, this is one you will not see come up for sale very often, if ever again.
